Mutual Respect Policy

Mutual Respect Policy

At Wildwood Animal Hospital & Clinic, we believe the best care happens when veterinarians, staff, and pet owners work together as a team. We are committed to treating every client and patient with compassion, dignity, professionalism, and respect. In return, we ask that our clients extend that same courtesy to our team.

Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional medical care while supporting families through both joyful and difficult moments. Veterinary medicine can involve emotional, stressful, and sometimes unexpected situations. We understand these circumstances can be challenging, and we are committed to listening to your concerns, communicating openly, and honestly.

To maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone, we ask that clients:
  • Treat all members of Wildwood’s team with courtesy and respect.
  • Communicate concerns calmly and respectfully, even when frustrations arise.
  • Allow our team the time needed to provide thorough and appropriate medical care for every patient.
  • Understand that emergencies and critically ill patients are triaged and you may experience delays.
  • Respect our hospital policies, medical recommendations, and professional judgment.
The following behaviors are not acceptable and may result in dismissal from our practice:
  • Verbal abuse, intimidation, harassment, or threats toward any member of our team.
  • Discriminatory, offensive, or abusive language.
  • Aggressive or disruptive behavior, including yelling, profanity, or personal insults.
  • Bullying, coercion, or attempts to intimidate staff into providing care that is medically inappropriate or contrary to our professional judgment.
  • Recording staff without permission or posting false or defamatory statements intended to harass or intimidate our team.

Our goal is always to work collaboratively with our clients to provide the best possible care for their pets. However, when a relationship can no longer be maintained in a respectful and professional manner, Wildwood Animal Hospital & Clinic reserves the right to discontinue the veterinary-client-patient relationship in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards set accordingly by governing bodies.

Thank you for helping us create a welcoming, respectful, and compassionate environment where we can focus on what matters most caring for your pets.
